*Lozen was a woman warrior of the Apache people. little is known about Lozen except that she was a woman who followed both gender roles (a "Two-Spirit") and embraced some traditional female–as well as male–roles for her Tribe and was a fierce warrior. This focal features an image of a photograph of Lozen, a woman warrior (in public domain, circa late 1800s) It is a close up from an image of her and many others, sitting in a group with many others, including Geronimo. It is the only known photo of Lozen. The image is attached to the metal using a finishing product that creates an oil painting like look and texture. The image is shaped at the edges, copper leafed and hole punched. Finally, copper colored satin cord finished with a lobster claw clasp finish the necklace (lead and nickel free). The cord is 18 inches long and typically hangs to your collar bone. The image measures about 1 1/2 by 2 inches. Questions are always welcome.
